OUTLOOK - WORLD ART PROJECT...................3rd Birthday on 1st November 2021
The covid problem has wiped out Kalaa Jyoti and Arran House. It has hit Gordon's own project Outlook. He has not been able to exhibit the work from Nepal and all fundraising has been stopped. He has not been able to go to Nepal to continue the work. The government has now opened up travel back to Nepal. Gordon's plan is to return in February, conditions allowing.
Anyone with ideas for raising funds for this trip please get in touch with him.
In Kathmandu, on the 1st. November 2018 Gordon launched the Outlook - world art project
The Outlook world art project takes art to poor and disadvantaged communities across the world. Gordon has worked with villages in Thailand, Peru and, for the past ten years, Nepal. His work has taken him to work with other organisations like Plan International, UNICEF and Kalaa Jyoti. On his last two trips he has been working with children from the Tibetan community from the remote Upper Mustang region of Nepal...with the Himalaya Boarding school in Budhanilkantha, in the Kathmandu Valley and with the students from FAB-GATE COLLEGE in Pokhara. and students from the Sirjhana Art School in Kathmandu. Normally he works with existing organisations, however he is also promoting the work of a young student in the traditional Thangka painting art school in Kathmandu who is producing artwork far beyond his years. He has also continued to produce mural work with students. He started to do murals on the wall of the Bishwonath Hotel in Kathmandu with Kalaa Jyoti in 2016.. Outlook has continued with this good work. Other hotels, and one travel agent, have now got murals painted by Gordon and youngsters from the Outlook project.

PROSPECT SELF CATERING COTTAGE, ISLE OF ARRAN.
Owing to new laws being brought in in March 2022 Prospect will not be up to the standards to be allowed, by law, to be let out for weekly holiday lets. The new laws will stop thousands of people in Scotland who are just letting out holiday homes to enable them to live in an area of little work. Not rich people letting out second homes at rediculous prices.
Gordon's family home on the Isle of Arran is available for self catering holidays. Set in an elevated position above the coastal village of Corrie.
